In the midst of the snow-covered landscape of northern Finland, just below the arctic circle lives the cheerful Juha Virkkunen with his dog Shappe and his wife Arja. He is a reindeer farmer and a forester. His family has been herding reindeers at least since the 1850s. But he doesn’t know how his farm will continue. Even though he has two sons, he might be the last reindeer farmer in Virkkunen. It is a very hard work and became even more so since the climate change is making the life for the half-wild reindeers more difficult.
